Emily Gray
I manage the day-to-day property and financial affairs for clients who are unable to do so due to age, illness, or disability, when Red Kite Law are appointed by the court as professional deputies or by the Donor under a Power of Attorney.
My background as a personal injury fee earner allows me to understand how cognitive injuries impact my client’s day-to-day life and how this effects their families, friends and loved ones. My role consists of forming part of the multi-disciplinary team for a client, maintaining, and improving my client’s quality of life from a financial perspective. Building relationships with families, social workers, case managers and of course my clients themselves. I take huge satisfaction safeguarding my clients’ assets from fraud, exploitation and working with the appointed party alongside the financial advisors to maximise my clients’ assets through wealth management.
My role allows me to become a part of my client’s day to day life and a trusted member of their extended family, which is a great privilege.
I also prepare applications to the court for lay appointments, statutory wills, appeals, best interest decisions and one-off decisions.
In my spare time, I very much enjoy jump horse racing, shooting, travelling as much as I can and I am often found enjoying our beautiful countryside with my beagle.
