Solicitor – Will, Trust and Estate Disputes

Based at our Swansea office, we are looking for an experienced contentious Private Client Solicitor to join the Redkite Will, Trust and Estate Disputes team. The role requires demonstrable expertise in litigation with experience in probate disputes, including will challenges, trust disputes and inheritance claims. You will play a key role in business development, building strong relationships with clients and referrers of work, while working within a team of respected experts.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A qualified Solicitor with a strong background in contentious probate, estate disputes, and trust disputes.
- Proven experience in handling complex estate disputes and trust administration cases, with a focus on litigation.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
- Experience managing a caseload independently and effectively, from initial instruction through to resolution.
- A solid understanding of litigation processes.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Excellent technical knowledge of wills, trusts, and estate law, with a particular focus on contentious matters.
- Strong research and analytical skills to assess and advise on legal complexities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters in a clear and empathetic manner to clients.
- A proven ability to build strong client relationships, providing clear advice and managing sensitive situations with care and professionalism.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience of alternative dispute resolution methods (e.g., mediation).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues across different departments when required.
